How to get SharePoint 2013 when you have 2010

Just curious if anyone knew of a efficient way to get 2013 SharePoint, instead of 2010. We have a license set up to get hosted SharePoint as part of the package, but it's 2010. Do you need to go to a site to upgrade or provide some secret handshake?
