70-410 Complete

Hi guys,

Got a pass on this exam today. I must say it wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be. I got a lot of questions on Hyper-V and GPO. I spent some time learning IPV6 and I didn't even get one question on it! Lucky I guess.

Any questions fire away I will answer when I see this thread next.

Well congrats... I had the same issue. Had a lot of hyper-v and GPO's... Sucked because some of the material i really studied didn't show up. This will be my third time trying see how that goes.

WHat kind of material did you use and lab? like the break down on your studies.

I used Mastering Server 2012, CBT, Microsoft Exam Prep book, Storage Essentials and Technet. I've worked with server for a while as well as have access to some MCSE's at my work place that showed me things in detail that I didn't understand.

I would study about 2-4 hours a day, I have 8.1 with Hyper-V and just jumped on there to do things. I would follow what the CBT nuggets were doing and if I didn't understand it I would read up on it.

I think I am okay in saying this:

Hyper-V learn what the features do.
E.g. What you see on the left hand side of the settings of a VM.

Thanks for the feedback. I have that book too the mastering plus MCSA 70-410 from Don Poulton.. It's okay book so far, just have to get more lab work on doing stuff. I start to read the Master book and follow what he is saying ..

Then I watch the Cbt nugget one so then i have to create the vm again. Some times it just pisses me off how much material you have to learn, and some of it you won't really us or it won't come up on the test...

but oh well you have to do what you have to do... I plan on taking the exam next month. I am praying i pass it. going to start putting at least 1 hr a day to study if i can maybe 2.
