Norse discovers stunning Dark Net attack patterns - Third Certainty

There's a good video at the beginning of the article. Norse also has their awesome IPViking map which plots data from their global honeypot infrastructure

Norse - IPViking Live

Remember, nothing is as it first seems and take everything you read/see/hear with a grain of salt.
3C: So what have you discovered?
Stiansen: We’re learning that traffic and attacks coming out of China isn’t really China. It’s actually other nations using China’s infrastructure to do the attacks. It’s not just one country, it’s the top 10 cyber countries out there using another countries’ infrastructure.
3C: So is China getting a bad rap?
Stiansen: Correct.
3C: Who’s responsible? Russia? The U.S.? North Korea?
Stiansen: Everyone.

From my understanding a lot of counterfeit equipment is made in China. I wonder how much of their infrastructure is counterfeit.

Also on that IPViking Live map, China isn't even a target right now, Brazil is a lot lower than I excepted on origin and 27017 (Port used by Valve Steam Friends) getting a lot of hits is interesting.
