Have you got any advantage from a Coursera's course?

On Coursera platform usually there are some courses that may be of interest, but, job-wise, do they provide any advantage? Or are they just for hobby?
I mean, have you ever been on an interview and the interviewer told you "ohh nice, you have this course on X", or do they feel like it's crap?

LeBroke Member Posts: 490 ■■■■□□□□□□The way I see it, it's a good way to learn something you might not necessarily be exposed to.
"Oh, I see you do Python here as well. You study it in school?"
- "Nope, but I was using it at work a lot, and then I took a Coursera course as well to cover the areas I may have missed."
Probably wouldn't put the actual course on the resume, though. -
