I am studying for the CCDA cert. and having trouble understanding IPv6. To those who has already taken the CCDA, does it cover IPv6 in details or just generel questions. Also to those in the field of designing networks, how often do you incorporate IPv6 into the addressing scheme of a network?

IPV6 is not covered in detail on the exam. You do, however need to have an understanding of IPv6 addressing and how to shorten an IPv6 address by dropping the leading zeros.
