I am currently looking at schools to complete an MBA with a concentration in Cybersecurity or Information Security Management. I have come to the conclusion it will either be UMUC or Saint Leo. Here is my dilemma. I also want to complete a Graduate Certificate($20,000) with Sans Technology Institute and due to the cost of SANS, I would not be able to complete both with UMUC. Here is a breakdown of how I am trying to decide with a plan of action that would best suit me: financially, professionally, and continue to enjoy my family life outside of work.
UMUC
Master of Science in Cybersecurity-36 credits @ $694 = $24,984
With MBA-18 credits @ $694 = $12,476, with a combined total of $37,476
This does not satisfy my goal of an MBA, so therefore UMUC can add an MBA.
Saint Leo University
MBA with an Information Security Management concentration-36 credits @ $673 = $24,228
With the cost of the tuition at Saint Leo, I could potentially squeeze in the SANS Grad cert as well.
Looking for advice from the professionals here as I am trying to get to the level that some of you are currently in. Thank you in advance.
