I have just went to the CEH boot camp. I am now wanting to take the test for Certified Ethical Hacker. Has anyone taken the test within the last few months and if so what is the best study material for v4 of the test?

Didn't they go over all that in the CEH boot camp? What did this boot camp teach you? Not how to study for the exam itself? I would think a boot camp would be a very good place to obtain that type of information.

    Hello jdmurray,

The instructor was not certified. The only thing he had was his security+ certification. I am just glad he was truth with me about that. If he had lied I may have taken the test and failed it. That test cost $250. I really don't have the money to waste after i paid $2,600 dollars for the class. Can you give an idea if i will have to recognize alot of tools on the test of not and are there alot of definition questions on it as well. I am so lost right now. Does the **** material help at all?

So you paid $2600 for a class being taught by a person without the certification? That is not a very good thing. But I would suggest that in the future you request the resume of whoever will be teaching the class before paying for it. I'm currently involved in a project where my company has to re-train people who took A+ and Network+ classes from instructors who had nothing more than MOS certification. I'm seeing this more and more in the industry and it saddens me.

I have to admit that I was very foolish to pay $2600 and not know whether the guy was certified or not. I am a very trusting person sometimes maybe too trusting. I would really be grateful for any advise you have for me to pass this exam. Do you think the xxxxxx study guides would help with my problem?

There's a reason that product name is xxxxxxxxx-ed. If you take the name 'Certified Ethical Hacker' seriously, I suggest avoiding that product, and similar ones, like the plaque. In other words, no, they wouldn't 'help' anything at all.

Do you have the official Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures v4.1 study material from ec-council?

Another book that people seem to like for this exam in particular is Hacking Exposed.

If you want some good, but honest, practice exams I suggest trying PrepLogic.
