A number of prestigious universities have continuing education schools alongside the other schools and colleges that comprise their regular programs. Some of the programs that I've been researching are:
MS in Information Systems, Northwestern University School of Professional StudiesMPS in Technology Management, Georgetown School of Continuing StudiesMS in Computer Information Systems, Boston University Metropolitan College
What is your opinion on the value of these degrees? Would the 'brand name' prestige balance out the possible stigma of being issued by the extension arms of these universities?
Would someone be better served by getting a master's degree from a solid, lower-ranked school like Iowa State, Syracuse, University of Utah or so on, that are issued by their traditional departments?
