How to tell what version of Windows your product key is for?

I have an extra product key for Windows 8, but dont know if its for Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro. Is there a way to find out?

You can call the Microsoft Windows phone activation line and when it prompts you for the activation information, just stay silent and eventually you'll get a live person. Read them the key and they'll tell you which version it belongs to. It takes some effort to find the phone number, bit it's out there on teh googles.
