Passing score for LX0-101

I am taking LX0-101 tomorrow afternoon, from what I have read, passing score is 500 based on an 200-800 point scale. Does this mean that you get 200 just for showing up? so out of 60 questions, you just need 300? At first I thought 500 was an awful low score, but after seeing everyone talk about it, I am beginning to think it is that low for a reason, aka, the test can be a BEAST. Any thoughts, or pointers.

It's just like the SATs scoring - you get 200 points just for showing up and putting your name on it correctly. Highest score is 800. And yes, passing score is 500.

The only tip I can give you is to go over the objective and make sure everything is at least familiar to you. Also go over all common options for the commands. And do your best to know where each of those commands are actually located in the system (full path). And go over the differences between Deb and RPM package management.

What'd you use to prepare for the exam?

If you know everything in the Sybex book you'll do fine.

Good luck on your exam today!

I'm taking the LXO-102 this Friday. I'll let you know then icon_wink.gif

It seems a bit harder. It has a heavy focus on networking topics and scripting, with some security. Coincidentally, those 3 topics I already have experience with. I'm struggling w/ the other topics such as SQL, Localization, and X Windows. Even the Accessibility topics are hard for me to differentiate by memory.
If the exam asks for definitions or surface level questions, I know I'll be fine. if it asks for details, config file internals, or differentiating output on the topics I'm lacking in, I might be in for a rough ride!
