70-685 or 70-686 question?

Hi, I passed the 70-680 exam which is part of the Microsoft Win7 MCSA certification, the other being 70-685 (Win7 Enterprise Support Technician).
However, I am looking at the 70-686 exam now (Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Admin). I am confused though, if I studied for and pass the 70-686, would there be any point in taking the 70-685 exam?
Also, I am looking at the books: Microsoft Self-Paced Training Kit (70-686), and Windows 7 Desktop Support and Administration (Darril Gibson) on Amazon. Some people gave them average reviews, does anyone have experience using these resources?
Thanks,
Marc

If you just take 70-685, you don't get MCITP I believe. The reason you want MCITP for Windows 7 is that you can take 1 exam after that 70-417 to upgrade to an MCSA: Windows Server 2012.浪人 MSISA:WGU
