Difference , better ?

Dear Java Certified Professionals,
Me and my friend wants to join oracle community by starting from associate level. i have a doubt regarding the versions SE 5/6 , SE7, SE 8 (correct me if i am wrong these are updated versions of the other) which one is popular and most used now days and recommended by working professionals?

I would go for SE7 because most study guides available.

SE 5/6 exam too simple and old.

SE 8 there is are almost no study guides available
