Hello everyone, I have a question which I could use guidance. I received my BS in IT-Security 2 weeks ago from WGU. I've been in the IT field for 9 yrs doing desktop support. I will start the master's program in Information Security Assurance in July. I want to know how would I transition in the Security field (tech or nontech) roles? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The key for me was to really tweak my resume and highlight the security roles I've had in past jobs. I didn't have a 100% security job, but I did security tasks, checking logs, configuring firewalls, hardening servers, etc. I also found a decent recruiter who talked to me for awhile first to really be convinced this is what I wanted to do vs people just thinking "hacking sounds cool!!" and he called a company where he already knew someone, put in a good word, and the rest was on me after that.
