    Preface: I have not taken the CCNA or GSEC but have taken the CISSP exam.

    I think the GSEC material looks really interesting and would definitely help in your ultimate goal of a being in security architecture. Another area to consider is CISSP-ISSAP but to me the GSEC seems more practical.

    I'd probably go with 1) GSEC 2) CISSP-ISSAP/GCED
    Certs: CISSP, CISA, PMP

    I hear ya, but after some review of the GSEC I do not feel it will suffice for the technical gap I am trying to bridge.

    ...On the other hand, I have considered the ISSAP.
