Hey Guys I had a job offer at a local store for a Computer Repair Technician. the hours was 8 to 4:30 pm, 6 days a week and the salary was $150.00 per week and 20% of all repairs done. I immediately turned the offer down. What do you guys think? Would you have taken the Job?

That's $3.12 an hour. I'm not sure about the Bahamas, but that is well below the minimum wage in the US. -

I think it would depend on how busy the shop really was. If they could prove support 5k to 10k a week in service and i made 20% of that I'd do it. If not probably not.--

I talked to the owner about having my network + he said that he needed to do his network + so i could clearly see that he dosen't value the time i put it to study and pass these exams to get me in a better position to work for this type of company. when i asked there where literally no benefits. at all.:

Honestly, at the wages he is offering and everything else just form your own company and get to work. You will probably make more.--

Yeah, I'd stay far away from a place like that, working for less than 5 dollars an hour, depending on where you live I can't imagine they do 5k-10k in repairs a week and if they do get a few weeks like that it doesn't sound sustainable. I'd look for something a small helpdesk or larger company who can pay you a living wage and get experience.Bachelor of Science, IT Security

Truth be told there are places in the Bahamas that pay excellent for various I.T positions. that's why it was a shock when he offered me that salary. it was an insult to my intelligence. I already did repairs on my own and make that amount in couple hours. lol what a joke.
