CEH and Security+

Hi guys,

I am in a bind, I just passed the CEH exam and after taking it, it seems like I am more inclined to Incident Response and might take a forensics class in the future.

Should I take a security+ certification or would CEH be credible enough?

Nearly all of the skills and concepts that make up the C|EH curriculum are very useful to incident response and even to forensics.

Sec+ is a good compliment to C|EH. I don't know what your background is, but if you are new to IT I suggest focusing at least a year or two on systems or networking. Gotta know what you're trying to secure.

Thanks Renacido, I am actually working in the Incident Response field and Network security and am looking to solidify my skills, should I get it now or a year later to have a buffer between my certificates?

Do you also have recommendations on a good incident response certifications? GCIH is a cert i cannot take as it is not offered locally here.
