Passed Security+ today!
vaguemedia
I used the Get Certified Get Ahead book, watchEd the Professor Messor Videos, and bought the Professor Messor pdf study guide.
My score was only 789, which I attribute that to the stress/workload of my current position.
Know your ports, have a strong understanding of the concepts, and take practice tests to assess your knowledge.

Congrats! Where would you rate this exams in terms of difficulty compared to other exams? Thinking about getting this one myself.

If you've taken other CompTIA exams, you will be comfortable with the test format. This exam has a lot of information in the objectives that really isn't common knowledge. There is a lot memorization, also you really need to be able to comprehend the different technologies and theories to answer the questions correctly. It's not a give away test, I spent a lot of time studying. If I had to compare it to other exams, I think it is on the same difficulty level as Network+.

What sort of Sims did you get?
vaguemedia
I can't get too specific due to the agreement I signed with comptia. I can tell you that the Sim questions were clearly in line with the exam objectives. If you put the time and effort in, you should be able answer the questions with confidence. Nothing to be afraid of, especially if you are scoring well on practice tests. I definitely thought the wgu/test out practice exams were more difficult.
