Emulating a SLAM in a lab

Hey everyone!
I work for an ISP, and am putting together a training lab/test bench to facilitate with training of tech support agents and labbing purposes.
One thing I would really like to accomplish is being able to provide ADSL sync to a modem in this lab. Since I do not foresee being able to move a demarc from the back inventory area where all modem testing is currently done (we have several dry loops that terminate there), I am considering trying to emulate a SLAM for this.
I am aware I could use a line tester like a Fluke in CO mode for this, but that would still not allow me to use PPPoE authentication.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Thank you for the suggestions....VMWARE or GNS3 would both be very doable!
