Starting an ISP

Has anyone here thought about starting up an ISP? This is something that I may wind up doing some years down the road and I'd like to get some input from anyone that has something to share.

    hello,

    i used to set up small isp - but the business itself has been up and down,
    in case you are wondering : )
    i dont know how much it will cost you to build one - but i've been set up a virtual-based isp and cant afford the LC : )
    really depends how creative you running it...
