CISSP Passed Last Week!

So I've been busy and haven't had a chance to post, but I passed the CISSP last Wednesday! Big thanks to everyone on here who has posted to help others out, it definitely put me on the right path to getting this passed on the first try.

Study Resources Used:
  • Read Shon Harris AIO 6th Ed.
  • Created my own study guide using
    • Shon Harris 6th Ed.
    • CISSP Study Guide by Conrad
    • CISSP for Dummies
    • CISSP class/SYBEX Study Guide (paid for by employer)

Exam Practice
  • CCCure questions from pre-April 15 set and post April 15 set (many 1000's, lost count)
  • McGraw Hills website ?'s
  • All AIO questions in the book
  • All SYBEX book ?'s
  • All CBK 4th. Ed. book ?'s

Started studying in mid-February very light and creating study guide, then started heavy study beginning of June until I took the test on the 24th; so ~4 months total.

Took me about 4 hours total for the exam, including 2 breaks. Really you just need to have a good fundamental knowledge of the topics and then be able to not only read and comprehend, but be able to talk the concepts out with other people.

Here's hoping my endorsement goes through before the 8 weeks it said in the email they sent.

Good luck to everyone out there still studying!

When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep, So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler And your need like an armed man.

I appreciate you posting your tips. Working on doing the same with the revised exam. I've been taking study notes as well, and I'm really interested in seeing all you'd compiled for notes/study guide for comparison, or to fill in any gaps. Do you have them in a document you could share or send?
