MCSA 70-417 Upgrade exam

According to Microsoft, one can take the 70-417 exam if you already have an MCDST for Windows XP. You do not need to have held an MCSA certification for Server 2003 or 2008.

Has anyone actually sat this exam without being a current holder of MCSA Windows server certification for 2003 or 2008?
