My lab

I want to start studying for the bsci, and I have started gathering the material that I need for a Home based lab.

I currently have the following:

Cisco 1720 wic-1t (dce/dte cables)
Cisco 2650 wic-2t (dce/dte cables)
Catalyst 2924


I'm thinking I need another router or two in order to round out the collection. I wanted to use the 2650/2924 to work on Vlan Trunking, so I beleive I have that covered. What I think I need now is some older routers that will run ospf and BGP so I can play with routing updates. I am open to any suggestions that you may have.

In that case a couple of 2501 routers should do fine as long as they have the required memory and a current IOS to run BGP.

I got a couple 2507 routers off of ebay for real cheap.

your going to need at least 3 routers, currently i have 3-2500, 1-2610, 1-3640 and 1-4700 and 2 switches. i would like to replace the 2500 with 2600s or get a 18xx or a 28xx.. but those are too much right now

I'll be poking around on the bay today looking for a couple of 2610's then.

UPDATE->

I just purchased a 1601R on ebay with an ethernet wic.

I also poked around in my desk and found some unused VAC+ cards. Maybe I can trade these in on a older 3620 or something.
