NUC-i5 how do I update bios?

Have a 4th GEN NUCi5 (which I love) running 5.5 but I realized the bios updates are as if the NUC was running windows.

How do I run the update if I am running ESXi as the base OS/hypervisor?

    Nevermind this :P

    I found out you can make a bootable key that can be flashed by pressing F7 (I didnt see that option the last time the NUC booted) that will update via the USB.

    Thought maybe there was a special way with a VM.
