I passed Security+!!!!
I'm happy to report I just passed it a couple of hours ago. I was at work in a training class for a new job I just started and was seriously sweating bullets all day thinking about the exam and if I was going to pass. I scored a 799.
I used bits and pieces of a bunch of different sources. I read a little bit of a text book by "logical choice", maybe 100 or so pages, I took some practice tests by measureup.com, watched a couple vids by professor messer and also read a couple chapters out of Darril Gibson's book.
I have to say out of all of them, Darrill's book is the most helpful. It is the greatest single resource you can choose to study IMO.
Still, this test was no joke. I got about 6-7 simulation questions in a row, back to back from the very beginning. After that it was all multiple choice.
Now that I have A+/Net+/Sec+ I am at a crossroads and have to decide if I want to go down the Cisco path or the MS path. If anyone has any advice on which is more marketable/valuable I'd definitely be willing to listen.

Justin- Member Posts: 300Congrats on the Sec+! Yeah Gibson's book is a great resource to use for this exam. Even his paid simulation content! Some of his simulation questions were VERY similar to the simulation questions on the exam.

Proverbs 6:6-11Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, O sluggard?
When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep, So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler And your need like an armed man. -

@Tongy: currently yes, only because it seems like from what I've noticed once people get the three basic CompTIA certs, they then tend to either go on and specialize in something like MCSA/MCSE or CCNA/CCNP. But I'm open to all ideas right now so if you have something else in mind, let me know. -
