Is HTML / JS windows store app dev for Windows now dead?

Hi all,
2 years ago I got the MCSD for Windows Store Apps when WinJS was all the rage.
2 years on and my renewal date is approaching in like 3 months. The only thing is Windows 10.....WinJS...its very difficult to find it now on the MS site - is WinJS on its way out ? Is it worth spending the time and money necessary to renew ?
Also quite notably - there was a survey on born to learn about windows 10 development and it was asking for XAML devs only - not HTML...makes me think WinJS is off to open source land (well already is..) and its time in the mainstream is over?
