My imput regarding comptia a+ books

I am studying both the CompTia A+ 8th edition Mike Meyers book, and also the Microsoft CompTia A+ book. Each book has pros and cons but in my personal opinion, I feel the Microsoft book is more closely similar to the actual examination. I have recently taken and failed my first attempt at the exam, and now preparing for my second attempt. Also, in my opinion, it is much better to be actively working in the field as a pc tech while preparing for the exam. There is a big difference between just studying for the exam, as to studying for the exam and also working in the field. I hope that my opinions have been informative and helpful.
