Hello,

Fairly new to the boards.
Just finished some certifications but now trying to start applying for jobs but I know my resume isn't all that great.
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Yong

    My advice: Consolidate jobs all four positions as one single experience as it presents a better visual to HR. From 2004-2015 as IT technician who also has experience with Delphi.

    Also, where is your education? List your certs under education as Continuing Education. You actually have good experience and would make a great Sys Admin or Network Admin.

    Skills and cert should be at the top of the list.

    Thank you for the advice.
    I don't understand what you mean by consolidating all the jobs into one experience?

    Also, I only have a HS degree, didn't graduate college so I don't know if I should list just that under Education.

    What I mean is you should consolidate your roles from 2004 all the way to 2015 as a Single experience of being IT Tech Analyst. An example of what I am saying is;

    2004-2015
    IT Analyst
    -Installed Desktop computers
    -Troubleshooted Computer Software and hardware issues
    -Implemented System and Monitor Security Systems
    -etc,etc,etc

    List which security systems you worked on as that can be crucial to an employer who may be looking for a SME or a generalist. Add more detail to your roles.
