Hello,
I'm on the cusp of applying for grad school and was hoping to get some feedback from anyone who had experience with any of the programs I'm considering. My background consists of helpdesk, blue team security administration, auditing and more recently pentesting. I'm looking for a security-focused master's degree with lots of hands on labs and applied learning to enhance my current skill set and round out some areas a bit more. I'm currently interested in three programs and was hoping people could provide some information about their experiences with them.
In no particular order:
Capitol Technology University - Cyber and Information Security MS: https://www.captechu.edu/academics/graduate-academics/cyber-information-security-ms
Dakota State University - MS in Information Assurance: Master of Science in Information Assurance | Dakota State University
Iowa State University - Information Assurance MS: http://www.elo.iastate.edu/graduate-degrees/information-assurance-master%E2%80%99s-degree-online/
As I noted above, I'm looking for something fairly technical. Ideally with an opportunity to focus on offensive and/or defensive skills. I would really like the opportunity to get a bit of an introduction to exploit development, but none of these programs seem to have much focus on that. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with the above schools?
Thanks,
