First off I am not taking CCNA or any certs
I am looking for recommendations for CISCO Router
Looking for 1Gigabit and Fiber for uplink
1GB internetwork to Switch
Looking for GB Switch with or with out POE
24 ports
Both must be scaleable and run current IOS
There is probably something i am forgetting because i don't really deal with networks
Thanks for the input

Remember just because a device has 1G ports doesn't mean it can forward traffic at that rate.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

networker050184 Mod Posts: 11,962 ModBe prepared to spend some money. ISR G2's would probably be the smallest thing that fits the needs of gig interfaces, modular scale and and actually pushes that much bandwidth.
Switch wise should be easier to find something within your needs. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made. -

I know it feels nice to have a beefy Cisco router at you Internet edge, but just get a Fortigate FG60d or a Juniper SRX. Then you can have all sorts of fun cisco routers on your internal network.
