GCIH Self Study resources

Hi all,

i'd like to get any advises on to what to hunt for in order the self study for GCIH.
I've got a few things (piles of books and other resources, plus a big home lab) already but any advise is welcome.
Maybe as well some testimonies from folks who achieved it this way as well..

You mean without taking the course? You can sometimes get used SANS books on Ebay, but they often tend to be outdated copies. There just happens to be a set of GCIH books listed on Ebay now. The problem with more advanced cyber security certification exams is there is limited information available and no 3rd party practice tests.

Its actually against the SANS courseware license agreement to sell these books. The seller probably is not aware of that.

I'm sure the sellers are aware, they make it clear enough on the front of the books. I'd never sell mine, but at an average of $500 a set, I'm sure someone out there is having there photocopier working overtime to and bind new books. There are a lot of counterfeit goods on the open market, with the profit margin if someone isn't already counterfeiting SANS books, someone will.
