Created the user account and use it for encouraging folks here, especially young ones. let folks know I am a kind of old, a 57 yearold guy, and not doing much relating the network work. You know it has a considerable portion on the network. I am doing application administrative work. I had had OCP DBA more than 10 years ago, at the time i told myself , this was my last certification. Well, the job asks me to have Security+ now.
Studied for 2 months, used Gibson book and the MeasureUp practice tests. I passed it on the 1st attempt.
Good Luck all.

Congrats. I'm just a little younger than you. That exam took everything I had and I thought I was "Mr smarty pants". I left the exam room with a passing score and a headache

Congrats guys! And I agree, age is meaningless in I.T. It's all about the desire to learn.

Congrats! Don't be discouraged, behind IT we're all only judged by our knowledge and the ability to acquire it.
