Windows 10 Hyper V Question

Hey all,

Just picked up another 8GB RAM kit for my home system, bringing it up to 16GB RAM. I'm slightly curious as to how many VMs i'll be able to run on it with Hyper V. I will post my main specs below:

Main Hardware:
-AMD A10 5800k running @ 3.8GHZ
-Kingston Hyper X 16GB DDR3 (all 4 DIMM slots are now full)
-ASUS F2A85 V Pro motherboard (max supported RAM is 32GB)
-ASUS R9 280x GPU
Disks:
-Corsair 64GB Force SSD (Windows 10 Pro)
-Samsung 840 250GB SSD (Games)
-Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB HDD (2 partitions(585GB for VMs) (375GB for Data)

My other concern is maximizing performance with the disks. I'll be looking at doing 3 VMs, so should I store one VM on my Samsung SSD and 2 on the WD Black?

Thanks :)

It really depends on what you're using the VMs for. I have an Intel Xeon E5 processor with 16 GB RAM, and 450GB hard drive. I currently have a Win 10 and a Linux VM running on it. I haven't had any performance issues, but I only use the VMs for testing/learning.

I use it for testing/labbing. Will eventually be using it for a forest/zone/AD environment when we start the next course in our program.
