Taking the iLearn for CEH?
evarney
Is this worth the money? Has anyone done this? Is this essentially the same as WGU?
I already have access to Safari and CBT nuggets...and I am hearing that I could pretty much build my own lab. This test is pretty pricy too...
I hate spending money but I really want some new skills. Is this worth it?

Without the two years experience, you would have to do official training...iLearn or in class. If you can get approved for the waiver you might be better off self-study and do OSCP if you want to learn more.

Here is a link to the application process:

And here is where you can request the eligibility form:

You can attempt the exam after doing self-study, or not studying at all. You just have to submit the eligibility form. I don't know how strict they are on the 2-years of experience as I've heard of a lot of people being allowed to take the exam. However, the 2 years of experience is highly recommended or you should have plenty of hands-on time with common hacking tools as well as a Security+ level of knowledge (which also recommends you have 2 years of security experience). It looks like you've got your Security+ so as long as you put some time in to doing labs and using the tools, you should be able to challenge the exam.
