What's the difference between SPFB (segments, Packets, Frame
madboy
I keep seeing segments, packets, frames, and bits.
Are each how data is described/broken down as it travels across different layers of the OSI?
The words segement and frame especially confuse me.
By the way, this forum is great!
Thanks.

Hi and welcome on board!
Have you read my OSI model TechNotes yet? In particular the part about encapsulation:

Oops, i didn't notice those exact notes. Thanks.
The notes are awesome!
I'm taking the exam in a couple of days. I've studied quite a bit!
However, i feel like this is a lot for one exam. I've passed the A+ previously, and eventually want to go for MCSA.
However, if i find Network + a lot to study for, i assume MCSA will be hard??
By the way, are 2 of the electives for MCSA still Net+ and A+?
Thanks.

Yes you can still use Net+ and A+ as electives
