Hi,

Here is an outline of Objective 1.1 for 220-801:
1.1 Configure and apply BIOS settings.
• Install firmware upgrades – flash BIOS

• BIOS component information
o RAM
o Hard drive
o Optical drive
o CPU

• BIOS configurations
o Boot sequence
o Enabling and disabling devices
o Date/time
o Clock speeds
o Virtualization support
o BIOS security (passwords, drive encryption: TPM, lo-jack)

• Use built-in diagnostics

• Monitoring
o Temperature monitoring
o Fan speeds
o Intrusion detection/notification
o Voltage
o Clock
o Bus speed

The section in question is 'Use built-in diagnostics'.
Now i'm certain that this would refer to the POST, but is there anything else that may be covered in this objective, or is it solely relating to the POST?

When you enter into the BIOS, there is diagnostic information found when toggling through the 'pages' or tabs. This is where you will find fan speed, voltage, etc...

If you do not have a text to assist with your studies, consider Mike Meyers All-In-One or the text from Sybex.

***I'll add you can Capitalize the word 'I' to show a little respect for yourself too.

    'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird?

As Plantwiz mentioned they are talking about the BIOS.

    Thank you.

I have the exam cram and Mike Meyers all-in-one, I just don't want to miss anything in particular.

Meyers' text is phenomenal! You will not be 'missing' anything with that one. Exam Cram is abbreviated and for a quick study...good in its own category, but not a full-study.
