I am ACMT, even though it is open book, they ask you very specific questions, the exam is not easy. I went through Apple training and they give you access to their manuals. It's a two part test, hardware and software.

VCAs are open book. They aren't too crazy hard to study for, but I took it after a few weeks of training since I got hired on at VMware. You can always just Google the answer if you're stuck. That said, I don't think the cert is worth it.

I mean the apple certified associate exam.

Oh okay, don't know much about that one, but passing is 85% so that bar is set high. The only way to know for sure is study and go for it.
