any good storage certifications since storage+ is being phased out

    Even then the Storage+ is still still recognized currently to update all CompTIA CE certs except CASP. The Storage+ is also accepted after retirement for the SNIA certifications. It's still a solid choice.

    Yes, and it doesn't get retired until January 16th, 2016 so you should have time.

    Apart from Storage+ and SNIAs range of certs, it's all vendor specific stuff. In fact, the vendor specific stuff has more recognition than Storage+/SNIA.

    The Top 5 mentioned by fuz1on are a good indication where to head.

    I did Storage+ mostly to get better grounding in Storage for VMware/Hyper-V. If I was looking at a Storage career, I'd look at CCNA DC, Brocade, NetApp etc.
