Washington DC/Plano TX Pay?

Had a call for Plano, Texas and Washington, DC for DoD work. What should I look into pay? I don't know the cost of living for either. Currently doing research.

Used to live in Plano/McKinney. I paid $1800/mth for a brand new 3200 Sqft 4 bed-room house. Also account for in Texas no State Income Tax.Read my blog @ www.buildingautomationmonthly.com

Lived in Texas for 4 years. Low cost of living and no state tax! Take a look at what Philz had for 1800/mo, I have a friend at my company who pays that much for a one bedroom apartment near DC. -

Thanks for clarifying guys! I guess some background, I live in Houston but haven't left the city at all for work. My closest relative to Dallas lives in Mt. Vernon. I'm glad to hear it's comparable to Houston with Plano.These articles and posts are my own opinion and do not reflect the view of my employer.

Cost of living is kinda high in the DC area (where was the job? DC?). Higher than Texas..Never let your fear decide your fate....
