Point-to-multipoint split horizon question
Best practice says to disable split horizon on point-to-multipoint frame-relay connections. I understand that this helps routers learn routes from other routers on the NBMA link but then doesn't this cause routing loop issues?

siggnation Member Posts: 182It could. Another popular method is to create sub-interfaces to each branch site from the hub to effectively create point-to-point links on each.Currently Reading:

fredrikjj Member Posts: 879Not with EIGRP because split horizon in that case is only to reduce the number of routing updates. Other protocol features will prevent loops.
