Hello all icon_smile.gif I have a little experience with working with Army Aviation databases, I currently work on the electronics on the Apache Helicopter. I am really interested in going into database admin and/or data analysis. I am taking the free MVA classes for the fundamentals and wonder if it is worth it to go for the MTA SQL or should I study and practice and just start with MCSA? I am retiring in may and want to be able to get a job (no prob on doing entry level work)that will set me on the right path. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I think MTA Database certification would be a good start as well as MTA Windows Server Admin Fundamentals. It's really up to you, you'll have to gauge where you feel comfortable starting at. Do you want the fundamentals of a server admin first before you start laying a database foundation? I'd probably say yes. I'm not a database guy, but that's my .02.
