A link is just a generic term for a connection.A link can either be physical as in a cable or it can be logical i.e. a pvc
A link can have different speeds depending on how it is configured i.e. bandwidth.A T1 is pdh terminology for a 1.5M link i.e 23 64k timeslots.
In europe and the rest of the civilized world we use E1,the States and Japan use T1.E1 is a 2M link.
I could ramble on and on about connections so i think your best bet is to do a
search on google and read about PDH!
Networking, sometimes i love it, mostly i hate it.Its all about the $$$$
