I took the SANS401 on-demand but skipped the videos and just read the books. I read them all the way through twice. I made a pretty detailed 26 page color coded index. There were over 1200 terms listed. I got a practice test from someone on here and scored an 86. I was surprised I had done that well bc I was only studying for 3 weeks at that point. I registered for the test and received two more practice tests. I scored 92 on both of them. I took the exam and score a 91. Next up is SANS408 in late February and the GCFE exam. I thought the actual test was a little harder than the practice exams and there were atleast 4 questions I had never seen before....but then again I didn't watch the videos or do any labs.

Congrats! I believe that you're missing a lot of the cool extra bits of real world knowledge and stories that Dr. Eric Cole throws in by not watching the videos.... Since the course itself is pretty entry level that was probably the most enjoyable part of the course IMO.
