security clearances

So is there some type of paper document stating you have a certain clearance? I have secret level clearance but never received anything. I have been there for a year now so I'm sure if I didn't have it I would either no longer be there or they would be questioning it. I had my field interview in March 2015 and never heard anything back from anyone. I did ask my PM and he said the same thing...'if you didn't get it you wouldn't be here'. I have added this clearance on my resume but if a potential employer asks to see proof I have nothing to show.

Potential employer will verify it in the system that they all have access to. Its a univeral system. No paper aside from the initial forms you completed exist, always good to keep those JUST for your records to reference later. The info on those forms are none of an employer's business.

The potential employer will ask you for your social and check in JPAS to verify your current clearance.
