Difference Between Prefix, Link, Route and Interface
dppagc
I need help with the below statement:
In BGP attributes belong to routes not links.
In BGP attributes belong to prefixes.
In IGP, cost belong to link not prefix
Q1 I assume that routes and prefixes refer to the same thing?
Q2 Both sides of the link are in the same subnet range so what is the difference in the prefix and link?
Q3 Are link and interface the same? I understand that the cost of ospf can be altered on the interface. What happens if we only do it on one side?

Yes, route = prefix basically. To understand the other two questions you need to think of how OSPF builds it's tree.

Hi, Can you give me a clue as to the other 2 questions.
I know that router id is used as a node identifier.
The tree occurs when links are connected between node identifiers.
