Currently, I'm Security Analyst and would like to take the GIAC certificate to fulfill my career. I found that GIAC have 2 certificates that is about an analysis that are GPPA and GCIA. It make me hesitate which one I should take for my future?

Anyone have a suggestion?

I highly recommend GCIA, i just was just awesome; felt like it offered the most out of intro 500 SANS courses. However they are both very similar and will cover much of the same material. But i think some of GPPA stuff can be learned through experience and other avenues. I would personally take the GCIA, it is highly regarded and one of the well known GIAC certs.

GCIA covers the material that's much more specific to intrusion detection. GPPA (or at least GCFW when I earned it) covered more general perimeter-management topics and a little but of what SANS 503 offers.

GCIA is a much more well-known certification.
