HELP!!!

i just upgraded my windows ME PC to windows 2003 and then installed a network card as well. even though the network card is detected i keep getting "Disconnected Media State". My network cable is also fine. any help will be appreciated

    You really have not supplied enough information. What is the other end of the cable connected to? Did you give the system a static IP or are you using DCHP. Open a command prompt and enter IPCONFIG /ALL and see what it tell you. Disconnected media state means that nothing is talking to your adapter.

    Just curious what are you going to do with win 2k3 since it is a server OS. It is a pain in the rear to use as a desktop OS if you let it install all the defaults.

    hello,
    what are you running for cpu speed and memory which u are running server 2003 on a desktop. also it may be that the card is not supported in the specific desktop. :D
