I thought the network+ was vendor neutral? If the objectives require to configure something wouldn't we have to know cisco or juniper, etc.? Wouldn't that negate the vendor neutral?

Network+ is vendor neutral, it just wants you to know how to configure it on a high level. The test is not going ask what specific commands to enter in or on a specific vendor's device. Example: to be able to explain how data is moved through a router, and what information is needed to set that up.

The Net+ is vendor neutral, and doesn't ask that you configure any networking equipment. It does use the windows CLI to have you troubleshoot certain scenarios. The Net+ is more of a, learn your networking fundamentals that will apply to any vendor.
