Is this right?

I'm aiming to become a member of the server team with my current employer. The path i've chosen is A+, Server+ then MCSA. Will I need Net+ to be completely covered?

Any server guy should know networking. You probably will be better off going for the Net+ before the Server+ and MCSA.

I think having a broad understanding of the base technologies is always beneficial. As a potential employer, I may look at that and say...why did you skip the Net+ if you were going after certs?

Thanks for your imput. I really appreciate it.

I'd cut out the Server+ and replace it with the Network+. It's kind of a waste since the MCSA will completely overshadow it. A+ -> Network+ -> MCSA would give you a good foundation. You can decide what to do from there.

I wouldn't do Server+. I agree with the other posters. Honestly, I don't know anyone that has that cert. It was a 'popular' cert when it came out - popular as in 'popular money maker for Comptia.'
