Managing DFS permissions
w^rl0rd
So I just noticed something I didn't know about DFS,
I assumed that If I change folder permissions that it would
sync the change amongst the targets. However, that was
not the case. I had to manually change the permissions on
both targets.
Is this the expected behavior for DFS and permissions?
I just assumed that If I change the permissions from the DFS
share that it would reflect the change on both targets.
Is there a better way to change DFS permissions so that it's
only done once?
Thanks,

It's not expected behaviour. NTFS permission changes should get replicated. Is replication working for other changes?
Check the root share permissions on your target servers are the same, also that NTFS permission inheritance is set up the same on the targets.
