WDS : One image for multiple server roles

Hi,
I saw somewhere an article telling that it is possible to have only 1 image for 4 kinds of servers (DC, FileServer, WebServer, NetworkServer). I always thought that I had to capture an image of each of the 4 kinds of server and upload the 4 images to WDS.
How could that be possible with (with what tools) to build only one image for 4 different server installations ?
